I am from South Africa and heard about these holidays. There is really nothing to be afraid off as SA is not 3rd world as other people may think and our medical facitlies are private and the in many ways I think that the doctors are much better than here in the UK. Still investigate it though and see if you feel comfortable doing so. Also the reason it is much cheaper for people from here is that the exchange rate makes the pound seem like a small fortune and most average South Africans will not be able to have the surgery done without saving for at least 3 years. A friend of mine has had surgery in SA (she is South African as well) and she was quite happy with the results.

going abroad for surgery can be dangerous. make sure you don't rush into anything and make sure its all legitimate. As they say, if it looks to good to be true it most probably is. and anyway if that is you in the avator, u dont need surgery!!

if there are complications the nhs won’t cover it. i had to wait 12 years until i could afford it; but it was something i really wanted so i worked for it. 3.5k sounds a lot – but if you want it, you save for it.

Great Idea! Go to a third world country for your plastic surgery. You will look great when you get back. Probably like the people you see on TV in those countries. They will put coconuts in for your boob job.

not trying to scare you but what happens if u fly out somewhere ,get it done cheaply, come back to the uk and it gets infected or goes wrong ?? u will either have to fly back out there costing more moneyto get it fixed or pay uk prices so whats the point ??

Honestly, this is your body you are talking about. You only get one. It should be the qualifications and skills that are more important to you. What if they stuff it up? Then you might need more and more surgery just to fix it, then how much will it cost and not just money, the stress!!!? If you cant afford it now, weigh up whether you truly need it, then save if you decide yes. These are permanent procedures, trust me, I know. And it is damn painful!! (I had corrective, not because I wanted a change) I made sure I went to a proper surgeon, I couldnt bear the thought of a bodge job. The after care will be much better too.

i want mine doing too and i am thinking about going to France then i can have a holiday with my family as well as recover in the sun i talked to my travel agent it was a little embarrassing but hay ho! but please be careful as you don’t want anything to go wrong look about maybe try the Internet but please don’t go to any old doc as you never no what the surgery will be like good luck…the future is big boobs lol (well in my future at least!)

In would suggest you use a local board certified plastic surgeon. Just start a special savings account or check to see if a reputable local recommended surgeon offers financing.

Going to another country to obtain cheap major surgery from a surgeon located through the Internet sounds scary.

Maybe a good friend can assist you in looking at your options to make a decision that will not only obtain the results you desire but be easy on the wallet. Remember, once the surgery is completed you will certainly need a friend to go shopping for new tops with. ~ grin ~

you don't want a hatchet job, you need to find a very reputable plastic surgeon. If your short of cash and cant afford it wait until you can. There are alot of these so called plastic surgeons out there that will cost you more money in the long run if they are not qualified and reputable surgeons, many people have had serious problems afterwords. Be careful.
