In what is becoming an increasingly metro sexual society, men are turning to cosmetic surgery to ensure they look as good as their female counterparts. Around ten years ago cosmetic surgeons were typically seeing 10% of their patients being of the male persuasion but this has increased to around 40% in some cases in recent times.

Cosmetic surgery has become increasingly popular with men as a way of combating the aging process and as a way of maintaining their image and the change that they so fear.

Men have become very conscious about body flab, especially in the younger generation, and they want to have a body they can show off. This seems to apply especially in the area of the chest and some are even turning to breast reduction to ensure they have the perfect Pecs.

Procedures like nose surgery are also high on the list and many see these procedures as life changing and necessary in an image obsessed society. For those men in their 40′s extra weight in the abdomen may be a concern and for this they usually turn to liposuction.

Many a young professional male will turn to non-surgical procedures such as Botox and dermal fillers to give them a competitive edge in their work environment as they see looking fresh faced and young as the key to promotion.

It certainly seems to be much more acceptable for men to take steps to maintain their appearance and a little more than moisturiser is now acceptable.

If you are considering cosmetic surgery procedures in the UK such as nose surgery you should seek an accredited surgeon who is registered with BAPRAS or BAAPS to ensure this plastic surgery runs smoothly.
